CitePulse · AI search visibility

Are you in the
AI answer?

Customers increasingly ask an AI assistant who to call instead of scrolling a page of links, and the answer names two or three businesses. CitePulse shows whether yours is one of them, what is keeping it out, and gives you the files that fix it.

Free · about 30 seconds

Run your
audit.

Add up to three questions your customers ask (optional)

Write them the way a customer types them, without your business name: "Who is the best cosmetic dentist in Austin?" Leave them empty and we ask three typical buying questions for you.

Your first audit needs no account. Our server reads your robots.txt, homepage and llms.txt once, the way an AI crawler would, and refuses private or internal addresses. We keep the result for 30 days, or in your account if you have one.
What you get back

Four numbers, in
plain English.

01

AI Citation & Reputation Score

Out of 100. Forty points for readiness: crawler access, llms.txt, schema, how clearly you say who you are, and answers AI can quote. Sixty for whether AI assistants actually name you, how high, and how warmly. When AI answers are not checked, the score is readiness alone, and says so.

02

Crawler access

Pass, Partial or Blocked, for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, read from your robots.txt and from how your server answers a request that says it is GPTBot. A firewall or CDN setting can turn AI crawlers away even when robots.txt lets them in.

03

Competitor share of answer

Your buying questions are asked without your name in them, the way a new customer asks. You see who the answer recommends instead, and in what share of answers.

04

The fix list

Every problem in order of the points it costs you, with the fix, and which of the Auto-Fix files solves it. The two biggest are free.

Being straight with you

What no one can promise.

No tool can make an AI assistant recommend you, and AI answers change from one day to the next. What CitePulse does is find the reasons you are skipped and fix the ones on your side: crawlers turned away, facts an AI cannot find, nothing it can quote. Then it shows you, question by question, whether that is working.

The files only ever say what your site says. Anything missing is left as a marked gap for you to fill in, never invented.

Questions, answered

Fair questions.
Straight answers.

Generative engine optimisation is making your business easy for AI assistants to read, trust and name. SEO earns you a place in a list of ten links; an AI answer names two or three businesses and explains why. Both reward the same basics: a fast site, clear facts and real reviews. GEO adds machine-readable files and answer-first writing.

Whether robots.txt lets the AI crawlers in (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and the AI search bots), whether your server turns them away anyway, whether you publish llms.txt, what your structured data says about your business, services, questions and reviews, and whether your homepage answers questions plainly. When AI answers are switched on, it also asks your buying questions and checks whether you are named.

Not for your first audit. A free account gives you three a month and keeps your results. The fixes need the Auto-Fix pack or a CitePulse plan.

Three files built from your live site for one domain: llms.txt, a robots.txt that lets AI crawlers in while keeping your existing rules, and copy-paste JSON-LD schema for your business, what you sell and your FAQs. Plus every check with its fix. You pay once through PayPal; nothing renews.

Nobody can promise that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. AI engines decide for themselves and change their answers often. What the files do is remove the reasons they skip you: a blocked crawler, no clear facts, nothing quotable. Monitoring then shows whether you are being named, question by question.

No. The files only state what your site states. Where a fact is missing, such as a price or the area you serve, the fact block leaves a marked gap for you to fill in truthfully.
