Who we are
Solquara (“we”, “us”) is a remote-first creative studio operating solquara.com. We are the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at any time at hello@solquara.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry details — the name, business type, location, email address and project preference you enter in our forms or tell our chat assistant.
- Correspondence — messages you send us by email, chat or social media.
- Account and order details — if you buy from our shop, the billing information needed to process that order.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics — pages viewed, approximate location and device type, collected through Google Analytics and our on-site statistics plugin to understand which pages are useful.
- Local storage — your browser stores a copy of an enquiry you submit, and a flag remembering that you dismissed the chat prompt. This never leaves your device.
Why we use it
- To prepare and send the free sample or proposal you asked for.
- To reply to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the work.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
- To improve the site, using aggregate statistics rather than individual profiles.
Our lawful basis is your consent when you submit a form, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running the site securely.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not rent, trade or share it with data brokers, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask to join. If you enquire and decide not to proceed, that is the end of it — we do not run drip campaigns at people who said no.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the studio, and only for that purpose: our hosting provider, our email provider, our analytics provider, and our payment processor when you buy something. Each processes data on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation where it left off, then deleted. Client project records and invoices are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email hello@solquara.com and we will act within 30 days, at no charge. If you are in the UK, EU or another region with equivalent rules, those statutory rights apply to you in full, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site and shop to function, plus analytics cookies to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the marketing pages will continue to work normally, though the shop and sign-in areas may not.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not collect payment card details ourselves — those go directly to our payment processor.
Children
Our services are sold to businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be sent by email.
